What bubi remembers about you, and why

    Inside bubi

    What it keeps

A partner that forgets everything between conversations is a search box. Here is what bubi keeps, what it never keeps, and who can read it.

There is a reason most AI tools feel like starting again every time you open them. They remember nothing, so every conversation begins by re-establishing who you are and what you were doing.

A partner cannot work that way, so bubi keeps a memory of working with you. What is in it is worth being precise about.

    What it keeps

The things that make the next conversation shorter: what you are trying to achieve, the accounts you have connected, the playbooks you have built, how you like risk handled, and what you have already tried.

That is why you can ask "how is it going?" and get an answer about your challenge rather than a request for context you have given three times.

    What it never keeps

If you use your own AI through the connector, the conversation between you and that AI never reaches bubi. Only the actions it takes do. What you and Claude or ChatGPT discussed on the way to a decision stays between you and them.

And bubi holds no broker password. There is no field for one in its database.

    Who can read it

You. The memory is fenced per user in the database itself, and a build gate blocks any change that could read around that fence. That gate exists because a database view once could. We found it, closed it, and made it impossible to reintroduce quietly.

Every action taken on your behalf also writes an audit record with a correlation id, successes and failures alike. That is a record you can ask for.

Why this is the trade worth making

Memory is what turns a tool into a partner, and it is also the thing most worth being careful with. The rule we hold ourselves to is simple: remember the work, never the conversation, and never anything you could not read back yourself.
